How long can a good waterproofing project last? The answer is that it lasts at least 20 years!

Hydroseal, Taiwan’s waterproofing leader, hosted the world’s first “20-Year Sampling Test Results Witnessing” conference for its BayBrane® Waterproofing Membrane in Taipei, highlighting landmark projects from the Singapore Undersea Tunnel to Fo Guang Shan Dazhong Hall.
The event also featured the BayBrane® Rain Museum, where artworks stayed completely dry through days of heavy rain, powerfully demonstrating Hydroseal’s proven durability and craftsmanship.

Hydroseal’s former chairman stated that the BayBrane® Rain Museum was created to build confidence in BayBrane®—if artworks stay dry, buildings and infrastructure can trust its protection.

At the world-first witnessing conference, Hydroseal presented on-site test results from a membrane applied in 2002 at the Dun Nan Building. After 20 years of extreme weather, acid rain, and earthquakes, BayBrane® still showed outstanding waterproofing, strength, and crack resistance, with a projected lifespan of 30–40+ years, far exceeding standard waterproofing systems and surpassing the 15-year structural leakage warranty required by Taiwan regulations.

Chairman Chen of MING TAI INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD., a key witness at the 20-Year Sampling Conference and former Mainland Engineering GM, recommended Hydroseal to resolve long-standing rooftop leakage at Taipei’s Ren’ai Ti-Pao community.
